Hello Folks

I thought of starting this thread for a while now, So i thought it's about time i get it done :)
It Isn't just meant for my personal Music, but for all others who wish have their music heard on HGB.com.
Bare in mind that this only applies to music that you have composed/written/produced yourself. So NO copyrighted stuff unless you are the copyright owner!
I'm sure that there must be someone other than me who owns a few songs willing to share and be heard :D
So let's show our creative musical side you stoners and prove that weed DOES inspire one to be more musical 2thumbs

My first addition is Called Take a Ride (www.sibeleen.com/takearide.mp3) and the beat is Produced by me.
The concept is quite vague and warped. The emphasis is on the techniques and rhyme structures. Me and my buddy Paradox went back to back (4 lines each) and told a little story that way. I most certainly hope you enjoy :cool:

This is a song I've made a couple days ago. It's called Sunshine (http://www.sibeleen.com/sunshine1.mp3), and is not entirely completed but defenatley worth a listen.
Tell me what you think. It's about how the sunshine isnt perceived the same way here as in poorer countries in which they have to put up with ALOT of misery.

Cel I haven't got a clue how to get it from CD to email let alone upload it. It's just one of them things that my head refuses to compute.

I'll see what I can drudge up. The funny part is that I recently downloaded a program to help me with designing my own music so it is funny you bring this up. I was going to design music for a 3d animated movie I want to make. I'm just learning how to do it, so don't expect to see this wonderful 3d animated movie for awhile. :P What program do you use for your music creation Cel?

To enlighten you n music creation programs ( i actually was waitn for someon to ask me this :o )
There are two main stages of music creation.
-Composition
-Layout

*lights a bowl and gets to explaning*

Both these processed require different programs to get the best out of your production.

The first is Composition. Which involves anything from making the drum pattern, to chosing your sounds and adding synthesized instruments OR live instruments.
I personally use a very juicy program called Reason 2.5...but another program which is somewhat less Complex than reason is called Fruity Loops 4. It's basically a drum computer of a powerful variety which allows you to create simple to extremely complex drum patterns.
It also allows you to use the instrument plug ins within the program to create melodies and such.
I only use Reason for my instrumentals, as the only capability this program does NOT have, is the recording of audio streams, such as a vocal recording or live instruments.

The solution to this ~ and the answer to our second stage Layout~
is another program called Emagic's Logic, or better known as simply Logic. This again is a Reason level difficulty program and has a more simpler alternative which goes by the name or Sonic foundry Acid or again, just Acid. I recommend Acid 4.0 since it meets most of any recording and lay out requirements. I personally use Acid 4.0 ALOT, and its a very useful piece of software to have.

This pretty much concludes this, and im sure i could have just answered your question simply with

-Reason 2.5
-Logic 5.0
-Acid 4.0

I've got Sony's Acid #.# (some sorta version)

I was going to sit down and begin to learn this program recently but I seem to be having a bit of trouble concentrating as of late.

My goal is to learn Maya 3d for my animations.

Course..... in the end.. my main problem is the writing of the story. Once I have the knowledge of how-to, I have to define the what.

What would be great is to have someone who could learn with me, and work with me on it.

I'm a bit of an animation rookie really, i enjoy doing it, and have mediocre knowlege of Flash MX, mediocre Knowlege of Bryce3D and basic knowlege of Lightwave3D
Maybe we could share out knowlege and see where it gets us?
I mean im allways willing to learn, and thats with things i have no interrest in, so let alone to fact i actually LIKE animations :)

Well yes, it's completion is planned for end february,
and since we are still recording the scenes and random footage, it may take a while, i WILL update you on it tho, you before anybody ;)
