Hi everyone. I made butter yesterday and thought I would share some photo's with you.
I modified the recipe on this thread by using frozen stock and I ran it through the blender. I used a little over 7 ounces of popcorn buds only, no trimmings. I used about 1/2 gallon of bottled water and 6 cups of unsalted butter. I simmered it for about 6 hours and let it cool for about one and a half hours before straining.
I strained it using cheesecloth and because I don't have much strength in my wrists I kept twisting the cheescloth tight using a pair of sissors. It worked great and the leftover sludge was pretty dry when I opened the cheesecloth. As a sidenote...nobody told me the whole mess would look like a poopy diaper (nappy) :D
