View Full Version : Quick Question
I looked all over the place. Can't seem to find this one.
Well I've moved my grow outa the attic due to way too many problems up there. Its in my M. Bath tub/shower. I turn the water off of course so no chance of fire.
My question is. I have a white porcelin tub and white tile. I do not plan on buying a light meter. So I was wondering if this will suffice on reflectivity or should I still put some sheetrock and flat white paint. (Nope not payin the arm and leg for Mylar as I already have the rock and paint.)

Tis good thinking that you've turned the water off to the shower head so as not to cause an electrical fire if turned on accidentally... or if there's a drip.
Actually Mutt glossy white surfaces such as tile, glass, and gloss or semi-gloss paint are not as good as flat white surfaces. You may want to check into Tyvek house wrap, tis flat white, strong and is easy smeezy to put up. Tis less hassel to put up verses sheet rock... a few staples or tacks and you're In Like Flint!
Myalr, Tyvek, or other type of wrap would cause less damage to the existing shower verses nailing sheet rock over the tiles.
Also... whats going on up in the attic... what kinda porblems are you having?
Fred
I wasn't planning on nailing the rock to the tile. tile only goes up about 6'. So I thought about making a 1X frame to hold the rock. and nail it to a 1X header to fur out past the tile at the top. Basically hangin it like a frame. but I never thought of the tyvek. Thanks man. I gotta roll of that around. ;)
The Attic was just way too much of a PITA. I could not get the temps to be controlled. I know what the problem was, but its just not worth the effort.
Besides the bathroom gives more vertical space which I really could use.

/\ I know the feeling (temp control) even with a 1kw HPS my room only gets to about 70F, and 50F when off! This prob occurred after I installed better exhaust system.
