thought I would give this a go just to see like :D
got a couple of plants left over from breed'n, was just gonna toss em but what the hell....
simply ice hash with coffee filter's.... Had everything i needed so lets get to it
the subjects are 2 girls i bred awhile back and got all the seed i need from them so to the grinder they go :D tiss a nut grinder but works great on weed... same one i use for oil.

left it in the freezer over night so the trichs would be nice and brittle ;)

ok now we need a few more things....
ice, coffee filters, few containers from the kitchen, strainer and what not (dont let the miss's see) some way to beat the hell out of the weed. whisk sucks go for the drill action or egg beater
gonna want at least a gallon size container or more... poor frozzen bud in and a couple trays of ice cubes and top off with cold water.....
mix like hell for 15 minutes, dont be shy, really beat the shit out of it to dislodge all the trichs... they will sink to the bottom and most all trim or bud will float to the top....
let stand for an hour or so
after we have beat the crap out of it and let it set for an hour or so you can see all the goodness on the bottom :D mmm mmm

I removed all the bud from the top and ran it back thru the strainer to remove most of the bud then did it again as my container was a bit small :mad: and hit it with the drill again ;)
I went ahead and ran what i could before i beat the crap out of it again...
pretty simple just let the trichs sink the poor off water untill there's about enough for 1 coffee filter full.... go slow and if the trichs float about just stop and wait then go again;)

if the water stops drain'n just tap on the sive sides to get it going again then lay out to dry on a towel of some sort

From someone who has had nothing but street hash here in the UK for 20 years...well, I bet I feel the same way that all the alcohlics felt during prohibition when they watched the rum barrels being axed open or the bottles thrown down to shatter. All I can say is...could I send a courier over to collect your garbage next time? :D

simply easy and cheap way to get some goody's from your trim or old buds for sure. takes a couple of hours to run it tho.
Stayin'Sane give this a go with your popcorn bud and trim after you harvest...pretty sure you will have a couple spare oz's ;) and some kick ass hash:D

the 1st time i smoked it was in a joint.
it burned evenly, was smooth, and didn't overpower the flavor of the bud.
the joint went out a little under the halfway point, and neither of us were too quick to relight it.
a few moments later, i realized how high i truly was.
still talkative and "up", i was feelin' pretty good.
then, i was alone in the house with my pipe.
a slight layer of sourd was placed in the bowl as a bed, then the hash was set on top.
still smooth, very expansive in the lungs, and super-high upon exhale (altho i had a helluva head start). after 3-7 hits (first to go was my ability to count), i found myself getting sucked deeper into my couch (which i was now laying down on), and becoming more entertained by the crappy programming on the television than i should have been.
now, this is the best part...
i have serious sleep issues. can't fall asleep before 5am or so, and wake up several times before finally getting out of bed at 10am.
after smoking this stuff, i was able to fall asleep on that couch at about 11:30 or so. woke up (in a puddle of drool) at 2:30 and went to bed, where i slept like a rock until i woke late the next morning.
it was nice to get a full night's sleep again (something that's only happened a handful of times within the last year). i might not be able to remember my dreams, but i do remember waking up at 1/4 to noon feeling not the slightest bit hungover.
i smoked some with my partner last night when i went out to the garden.
it took us 3x as long to do the maintenace as it should have, as we kept getting lost staring at plants. i drove home too slow, got home late, and tried to surf the'net.
after taking a few hits at home, i fell asleep in my chair front of the computer while surfing.
i wouldn't call this a "motivation killer", but i will say that it's wise not to have anything planned.
how's that for a smoke report?

Time to make another batch :)
I have 1 shopping bag packed really tight with pop corn bud and other trim as well as about a 1/2 bag of just leaf trim to run thru the gheto lab :D
2nd pic is about 1/2 the pop corn bag worths and last pic is what I ended up with after it was all ground up....
got that in the freezer now and will be ready to go first thing in the morning.
more to come then :p

got up this morning and put 3 gallons of water in freezer for a couple hours to chill it real good.
cold is the key hear so the trichs become NON sticky and fall off the plant...
using my 5 gallon dwc/tea breawer/hash maker combo I dump the weed in first...about 4-5 inches thick in the bucket then I added 4 trays of ice and the chilled water and fired up my home made paint stirrer thingy and beat the crap out of it for 10 minutes.
gonna beat it for 10 more minutes and let it sit for an hour
be back then with more piccy's

got a bit more plant material in this run :mad: not sure why but oh well.... It's not as bad as it looks as it is just a very thin layer on top of the trich's..... gonna have to sort some sort a screen out:)
had to do a few filters worth and some will be pressed and some I think I will just run thru the grinder when dry and keef it out the bottom:D
messed around with a double bucket setup as well but thats for the next run:p
It's not bubble but hey it will smoke and was cheap to do with what I usually use to start a fire with :p

anything with trichomes will work just fine Dooby;) I would just cut the stem down to like 1 inch long and toss them in as any triches on them will all be on the outside :)

welp it's saterday here and one cold mofo out side so thought I would stay inside and make hash....
just need to tidy up the kitchen some first then i will get started.... I have made a couple changes to my setup and will get piccy's of the double bucket setup...
Dont expect a whole lot this time as these are some herm plants that I choped at 5 weeks or so
just put 3 gallons of water in freezer to chill and have 4 trays of ice ready...
gonna post as I go along thru out the day with more piccy's

it's our saterday :D ..Crazier Van Guy, it's cold water extraction
couple pics of the double bucket setup with an elk quarter bag used for a screen and makes it way easier to remove plant material...
I just cut the bottom off of another 5 gallon bucket and it slids down to about 5-6 inches from the bottom of the first bucket and holds the screen tight:)
check out them hermie seeds in there:eek: anyone want them

cheese cloth is about the same thing and can get some at any food store;)
you can use fresh weed, just need to grind it up first then freeze over night.
got most water out and pour that into a 1 quart container so it's easier to handle....

tossed it under the wood stove to dry out... worm's got the left overs :D

how it dry's depends on how much plant matter is in it.... most times it's sticky and presses just fine but I don't like to press and burst the trichs. if a bit to much greens I just run it thru my grinder;)
hash/oil/kief it's bout all the same thing really.... just different way's of get'n all the goodies like:D
had a bit of finger hash after i ground that up :D

for the records the game quarter bags aren't just for elk and are usually made of cheesecloth.
so just get some cheesecloth going.
i'm a moose hunter, same deal as elk ... oh and i've been known to hit up the deer once in a while too.
on top of that i'm trained in the old way as a butcher and was cutting big game with my family for about 10 years, that included selling those bags, all the cuts you get in the store come off those animals, and when ya cut over 100 moose in a year ya get good at it.
but this is about the hash, and the point is cheesecloth will work for this, i have also used a clean pair of pantyhose successfully myself as a screen for the leaf.
and in that double bucket, no doubt either will work.
new pantyhose are preferable though, unless you feel like smoking some muff ...

I have heard about pantyhose before , in a video i got explaining how to make hash but i try to do what they explain and never work , basically they said to get dry trimmings and after grinding them fine pour inside the pantyhose and shake for trich to fall true the pantyhose :p but i try with no luck , maybe didn't shake hard enough:p
Like CB Getto way is very easy and coffee filters are cheap :cool:
After reading through this I ain't ever gunna throw out all my trimmings again. This looks like fun :p Great work chief!

I haven't thrown away anything that comes out of my flower room for several years, making bubble hash, tinctures and edibles starting with cannabutter. It is amazing how much gold is in those leaves and small buds. Coming up with an extra 15-30 gm of wonderful hash is better than a kick in the head. Thanks for the post and for being here, I look forward to learning and teaching what I've learned to others. PEace
