hi peeps;) its been awhile now since i started my new job and and i just wanted to say sorry for not being about much this past 2 and a half months:(
basically Ive had 4 job promotions in 3 months and have had to get a store ready for trading to open tomorrow(big builders merchants like b&q).after this week i should be on a rotor and back to 8 hourly shifts,as it is now I'm doing 14-15 hours aday:eek: .
its about time Ive had some good luck(work wise)and theres all ready talk of me running another store as a GM so Ive had to get my shit together like.
anyways...one more week of madness and ill be back to normal....hope all you guys are fine and ill catch up with yas soon;)

Just make sure you save yourself some R&R time :D Hope everything works out smoothly...would hate to see you back on the site in a couple of months telling us you have been in the hospital for stress and exhaustion :eek: Take care of yourself!

double doh!!..just missed yas there Stayin'Sane:o .thanks for ya kind words;) it is a whole new challenge for me as Ive spent the last 15 years digging holes and building houses.
this is the story.....
i popped out to the shop around the corner one morning to go get some tobacco and noticed a bunch of suits standing in the road next to this new builders merchants being built so,i go gets me tobacco and on the way back i gos over to these peeps and ask if theres any work going....anyways...i ended up with a job as a yards man...2 weeks later I'm brought onto the shop floor.2 weeks after that they put me in charge of tools section...3 days after that they make me shop floor manager and now I'm 2nd in command.:cool:
how cools that huh??
some of you will remember me saying at the begining of this year.....i said this year was going to be my year:) so far so good;) also in the middle of having my driving test.

man i know what ya mean there,looks like demotion is in the air here.not sure what to do about potm but i can no longer access the admin cp to fullfill the duties.someone needs to step up and take over the potm and the smilies.
glad to hear ya gots a job bro, sounds like it might hold some promise for ya,Great job.Ive been searching high and low for a suitable employment as i just completely hate the present one.

nice to hear that things are going so well ....i am sure those kids of yours can spend the money just as fast as you make it if my kids are any indication of your babies ;)
good luck with getting the GM postition....how does it feel to know you may become the one getting his butt kissed instead of being the buttkisser? :p :D

lol...well..like i said...its been weired watching my work mates turn into peeps that wont even say hello to me since promotion.....1 guy called me a cheeky cunt last week infront of lots of others so instead of giving him the sack i just bent his ear abit and since then Ive had allot more respect coming from the work force.
well,i was gonna go into work today but i have a right sore throat and one of my wisdom teeth is cutting into my gums somit rotten so as its ment to be my day off anyways(first in 2.5 weeks)I'll spark up this fatty and see how the day gos from there:)

Hey Cranky I can identify with the rollercoaster of a ride in the job market. Been a similar ride for me.
Started out the beginning of the year in a stable but low-paying position and barely squeekin' by.
After several interviews and a gig that lasted less than 90 days I'm in a position that is the best payin job I've ever had and lookin like I may be getting moved up in the ranks later in the year.
Maybe it was the salt and pepper shakers I filled on New Years' Day, or the the cycle of "what comes around goes around".
Anyway really startin to enjoy the ride as summer is windin' down.
Hope your's gets sweeter too.
