okie dokie, here is the lesson we painfully learned.

the subject: cross contamination.

the grow we lost when we had the power failure, I was having problems before with algae. room had gotten warm a few times. doubled checked with fing, and used hydrogen peroxide. kept coming back. could not understand it. then the power went out and the point was moot.

went to l a got more clones. now, we always soak in a strong bleach solution in between. cups, baskets, tubs.

we put the clones in. next day, we got fucking algae growing!!! could not understand at all. mrs wakka is pissed. so we are mixing up new water today, mrs wakka gets the p h meter out, and a green drop falls on top of the washing machine from the pen.

she turns the meter over, and there is a nice big green glob of algae formed around the inside of our hannah meter. it had been growing inside between uses, so that got soaked and cleaned, and soaked and cleaned.....

so the clones are o k, but weak. still have some good roots, they will probably make it.

watch and clean meters and such dude. between mrs wakka's schedule, and the heat and a million other things, that got lost in the shuffle. it's a painful mistake to make, and I take complete responsibility for it. it sure the fuck wont ever happen here again dudes.

Yep good practise always wash mine in ro or deionised water after use and its best to wet a little tissue paper in the water and place in the meter cap its bad if the tip becomes dry, hard lesson to learn glad you got there in the end:gthumb:

Look into Botanicare Hydrogaurd.

There is another product I will use after cleanup called Florakleen, might check that out too.

Good Luck
