OK, here we go with what I hope will be a successful grow with my first known strain:

Breeder : Greenhouse Seeds
Flowering Time : 8-9 weeks
Environment : Indoor/Outdoor
Seeds Per Pack : 5

Awards:1st prize Bio HTCC 1995.
Genetics: Brazilian and South Indian.
Effect: a relaxing indica feeling that evolves in a bursting sativa high. Very complex and enjoyable.

Flowering indoor: 8-9 weeks with a yield of 400 to 600 gr/ sqm. Flowering outdoor: ready in early October above the equator; in May in the Southern hemisphere. Yield up to 900 gr/plant.

Great resin production and very resistant to mould!

THC: 12% CBD: 1.4% CBN: 0.6%

So on July 20th I started germination of the 5 seeds using the zip-lock baggie technique. On the 23rd I had 3 with tap roots and 2 doing squat. So I decided to plant all 5 into a germination/seedling soil mix by Fafard (my wife likes it so wtf).
2 of the 3 with tap roots broke free of the surface by the evening of the 24th. The 3rd w/tap root popped up yesterday and today I see a 4th is pushing up!! :beat: That leaves only one more so send out some grow love for that last seed!! :help2:

Here's a pic from today.

White Widow seedlings are truckin along nicely, even "the little WW that could" has finally started to get enough leaf area to pick up some speed. It's still gonna be almost just over a week behind the others. *watch it turn out to be the only fem* :wow: :mad3:

Very healthy drumin.

Hey everyone.. Something tells me drumin's got that "grow bug".

Got any plans to STOP now, drumin? :D

drumin
08-27-2006, 06:41 PM
Stop? are you kidding? Brutha, I'm just gittin started!!!!!

I moved the WW babes into 5 gallon grow bags and I'm gonna "top" the tall one tonight. It'll give me some topping experience and give the other a chance to catch up a bit.

No more outdoors for these kids.

those are 5 gallon grow bags? How are they holding up, drumin. Lot more to hold than my 2 gallon bags. how are they in size compared to 5 gallon buckets? And, I realize they almost always end up circular, but are the bags square shaped, rectangular?

but anyhow. lookin good dude. first time topping?

Yup 5 gal bags. Not sure if I like them as much as a rigid square pot. The bags aren't as easy to turn and move around in general. They are pretty square, until you put soil in them and then they become "sorta square-ish". They do keep the soil loose since with every movement the bags change shape a little... dunno if this is better for the roots or not.

First time topping although I did some neck breaking on the fems in the garden.

So far only one confirmed female and 3 males. :damn:

Only the the "little widow who could" is left undetermined. Looks like I won't be harvesting this grow, instead I'll turn this one girl into a mother and take clones from her. :(

drumin
10-08-2006, 10:05 AM
So here we are; this grow kinda took a different shape. It started out as 5 WW seeds and now I'm down to 2 WW. One female and one unconfirmed (I think it is but still not sure). So I decided to put those 2 into flower along with a RhinoBerry clone and 2 clones from my last grow that survived my cloning trials. So I've got 5 going into flower today.

This one ought to turn out fantastic then because it was the last little bean to sprout and it had SERIOUS trouble getting going. Now it's just the wait :tumble:

Wow, I didn't realize I hadn't updated this journal for so long.

Welp, let's see what's been going on. Out of 5 seeds I got 2 females, I caught the males showing preflowers (I may have tossed one before being sure :( ) so I have the 2 WW fems, a blue rhino (which I decided to clone and then flower) and 2 unknowns which I cloned just for the practice (good high though).

One of the WW fems is the wee sprout that could. The one which had so much trouble getting started. Her clones look pretty whacky  I'll have to get some pics going of that grow. She'll prolly turn out to be some monster mutant smoke! :share:

So I have 5 plants in flower now heading into week #4.

yes i did bro. I pointed it out in the attachment... also drumin said he gave em BB as well and is at week 6 of flower.... there should be more die'n leafs lower in the plant but i dont see it.... n-p-k has been watched close i think as well as he could have snuck in some N at week 5 that he just forgot to mention

then i could be wrong about everything too

drumin
11-12-2006, 06:20 PM
No Nitrogen added bro, but remember I had a problem soon after putting them in flower. I think they were close to N toxicity and they been living off whatever is in the soil and lower leaves. It's hard to see in those pics but there are so many yellowing (and dropping) leaves on the bottom that I was getting nervous about affecting yield.

Heading into week seven and some don't have too much longer! I'm pretty nervous about the yellow creeping into the leaves from lack of N but if it's good enough for the pros I'll just let'em go... MAN I CAN'T WAIT TO SMOKE THIS SHIT!! :shake:

BTW the first pic there is looks more yellow because I snapped it just as the lights were kicking back on.

Well, I took one of the WW (pheno#3) almost 2 weeks before the rest and it has a nice taste an a really cerebral high. Like, for the next 1/2 hour after a couple hits I would catch myself daydreaming like a mofo. But the high only lasted for about that 1/2 hour. I haven't tried the others yet as they are still drying. Hopefully pheno #5 (the mutant) will have better legs.

We'll see, thanks to all those that helped me and followed along on my 2nd grow. I just love this place!! :pass:

LOL....thinking of a past moment of my first harvest ever, I have a strain called PoK Kush x Product 19 from Nirvana...and I was sitting in front of my TV....daydreamin.....I mean gone !!! I was stupid for about an hour before I could get it together. Came from not using the 30 minute rule and smoked an entire spliff and 2 bong rips. T
hought I was too high....food and shower wouldn't bring me back either:eek: ....I was tryin to sleep it off and I felt my heart pounding....I got a little paranoid too.

My heavy smoker friends loved it and wondered where it came from. ;)
