yesterday my friend and i were trying to put this blackberry back in the room and there is abunch of string holding plants, down so its quite manuever. Sadly on the way down it brushed down against the top of a sweettooth plant and ripped many of the pistils off along the top cola:yikes: , im  , but there aint shit i can do you know, im thinking ill feed it a tiny bit more of bloom fert and maybe that will help it out? I dont know:shrug: . But i want to know what will come off this cola, will it still grow and fill in? or will it be weak and a waste of my space, cause i will cut it off if it will not grow. I need some help.:smokin:

hey dredank-
it's hard to say without seeing the extent of the damage, but i'd be inclined to let it grow.
mj is a pretty hardy plant, and i've had some make some amazing recoveries from a variety of abuses.
treat her well, grow her out, and see what happens.
i'd bet she'll do fine.
peace-

I agree, just let it go. Even if it does not fill in, the energy of the plant will go somewhere for you to enjoy.

I've done it before Dre and it's recovered. I bent one of my current colas over at 90 degrees and just quickly straightened it and squeezed the flat that the accident put in the stem with my forefinger and thumb. It's still a little bit crook but I seen no diffeence in growth. Perhaps the quickness of squeezing the flat was the difference between it failing or keeping up food transfer, but I/we can't be for sure. You can see it didn't make any difference in this case by the arrow pointing to the point of bending.

After sqeezing the flat.
You can see it's hard to tell and I'm suppososing the success of getting this looking straight depends on the colas weight distribution.

I bent this 90 degrees about 2 weeks ago.

Mr Burns, thats a technique I've used several times to control plant height in flower. I've bent them so bad that the sides of the stem split and the top just dropped. within 2 weeks it was as yours was, but with a large knot where it happened.

Here is some updated pics from that plant, it seems there are thin spots on the buds where pistils were torn off:( but it does seem to be filling in pretty well in the middle.
the first pic is a non damaged flower and the 2nd to last is a damaged one, and the plant they are from is the bushier one on the left

I also had a plant bend 90 degrees:eek: , it recovered and was left with this big knot:D
