 Bummer!
Welp... best thang ta do is Kill em with Avid then scrub down everythang in your room/ growbox; walls, lights, cords, reflectors with bleach water.... also maybe painting some wouldn't hurt.
Good luck!
Fred
say lloyd,
mites sure do suck :(
like fred says if ya wanna kill them and not just control them ya need to shut down. (14 days or more make sure ya break there cycle)
AVID (http://rosemania.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/product102.html) is some good stuff and a little will go a long ways..(could spend the same or more on control measures)
for control neem oil and soup products will work along with trips to the shower ;)
but one must keep at it none stop and the mite's start to get used it ..... like super mites
gotta say mites is the hardest thing to deal with in a grow room and only 1 way to do it right
kill them dont waste the time or money to contol them
good luck bro

Here's a couple more friendly mite treatments taken from another site we frequent...
Here's Senor Blanco's Bug Killer Formula (Thank-you Rev!):
One pint of filtered water or distilled water
1/2 teaspoon of Dr. Bronner's Castle Peppermint liquid soap
One teaspoon of 100% Neem Oil
Two cloves of garlic
And here's another, simply labeled 'Spider Mite Eradicator'
1/4 cup Baking Soda
1/2 cup Apple Cider vinegar
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
2 drops dish detergent
1/4 Teaspoon Epsom Salts
Take a cup of very hot water and desolve the epsom salts, take rest of ingredients and place in a clean 2 liter bottle and let work out. Add epsom solution. Add water to fill to 48ozs(3/4 full).Shake well.
TO USE: Cover soil/medium with plastic, with lights off mist plant all over, especialy under leaves,
Wait 20 mins, then spritz off with clean fresh water shaking as much water off plant as you can.
The fresh water spritz rinse will remove the solution along with the desolved remains of the mites and their eggs.
I've recently tested out a mix of 2 tsp Einstein oil, 20ml Bio-Soy I and 2ml AN Wet Betty (in a one liter spray bottle) and found it to be very effective... after 3 days and 2 treatments with this mix there doesn't seem to be much left of the mites... will hit them once again in a day just to make sure. With any luck we won't have to resort to any extreme measures.
Cheers and good green mojo... hope you manage to kick their little asses right to hell !

I gots some really good stuff regarding this prollem I will share with you guys hopefully this weekend, but soon for sure.
I had great success with a fairly easy method and I will get it all down and post it here asap.
To knock them down somewhat for now, I recommend you do the following....
About 30 min brefore lights out, or if under floro lighting anytime hit them all on the undersides of their leaves and all along the stem with this Bug Juice of Death...
Here's how ya make it.....
Get a galloin of distilled water
Take about a quart of it in a pot on the stove and mince up a couple cloves of garlic and boil it for about 10 min or so, strain out the garlic and mix the garlic water back into the gallon of plain distilled water; then add:
2 teaspoons of liquid soap like Dr. Bronners peppermint hemp soap, or something along those lines, the Peppermint part is pretty important too I found out!
2 teaspoons of Neem Oil
Shake it all together and put into a sprayer and go for it as per above.
To really kick their asses, do this once every 3 days for a total of 12 days and you will have almost whiped them out totally! But even a single application of this stuff will knock the hell outta their PoPulations bigtime and I will have a more in depth post up here soon to really help you guys who have this prollem out.

Well heh heh, I forgot te mention something regarding that exactly....
Yeah, the peppermint soap will leave a minty (menthol buds LoL) flavor, now all ya gotta do is rinse your plants off and it will be fine.
If you have a dehumidifier, no problem using it well into flowering as long as you "rain" on your plants with a sprayer of distilled water a couple days later. If outdoors, just treat them in the early morning of a sunny day, and rinse them off on another morning a couple days later.
It's REALLY important to have a de-humidifier indoors for many reasons and I wouldn't grow without one. It's vital to keep your poor plant's leaves clean or else she can't breathe (transpire) well and all things slow down bigtime.
I don't mean misting them either, that is useless in my opinion, and if you wanna help them, I suggest you set a schedule to "rain" on them, and especially the bigger fan leaves (the solar panels) and make sure you spray water until it is dripping from them.

Sorry to hear about the mites... sucks.
I heard adding a table spoon of lemon scented dishsoap to a gallon of water and then raining that on the plants helps clean off the leaves, keeps the soil from becoming compacted and bugs dislike the lemon taste. It's what I've heard anyway...

Here's the thing....
Yeah it will work to wash the leaves, however, when it dries it is sticky so the leaves stomata (breathing pores) will get very clogged up VERY fast, so whenever you use any kinda soaps or oils it is super important to "rain" on them a couple days later with plain ol distilled (or rain) water to keep them free and clear and clean ;)
Now, it is also a wetting agent in the soil, this is true; however, if you are growing organics this is a very very bad idea because it will not only kill all the little micro-beasties in your soilmix, but it will keep them from coming back as well. But if you are a synthetics grower in a soilmix or a soilless mix then no worries.

Gonna try and get that Spidermite Warz post up by tonight fellas, it will REALLY help you too if u have these little bastards buggin' ya, as I live in one of the most spidermite infested places I have ever been in now and I keep them in check no problemo.

One investment now ends a lifetime of hassels
plus it is so concentrated a bottle lasts a very long time. Only 1/2 teaspoon to a gallon of water. That little bottle of Avid is not so expensive when you do the math for the long run.
AVID if you want to end the mites. IT WORKS!
BTW - I am sorry, did not pay close enough attention, you are indoor? If so, you will need to pull your plants out of your grow area and bleach wash (.8 PPM) your entire grow room. Indoors the eggs can last awhile so best to scrub the room just to start with an uncontaminated room. Also: this time of year you prob brought the mites in on your clothes. I highly recomend a grow room specific set of clothes for your gardening hours

I beleive you this stuff works but it is a pestacide! I have noticed a huge crime in Oregon since I came here and that is peeps sprayin' their plants with pesticides.... Even some that say OK for food crops does not apply to SMOKING pesticides and many pasticides can become systemic (embedded within the plant's tissues) ...I don't even smoke anything anyone gives me around my town cuz they are all pesticide heads LoL!
I'm not downing your post bro and I believe you it works great, but I have a much more organic friendly plan of attack that is sure fired winner; a tad more of a hassle than Avid 4sure but better for the Earth and better for the med peeps.
- REv :smoke1:
It is a pesticide
other than a complete start over, AVID has been MY best answer.
If you have the willies bout smokin it fine, but somkin and soap and pyrithians and neem ain't exactally healthy. Cuse sumpin is organic don't make it good for you.
Just kill the crop that has been treated, if you are that sqeamish about pesticides. The mites will be dead and your next crop is not threatened The "War" can be ended with genocide.
I was once a mite warrior also, gave up used a bleach wash and Avid once about a year ago they haven't been back.
not trying to be an atogonist, it was my lesser of evils, live the continuing mite prob or end it. I lost a crop and ended it, I would not smoke pesticide ridden bud either. I chose to loose one crop one and end my probs.
"to each their own" said the lady as she kissed the cows arse
BTW I yeild your years of experience I've only been at it since 1985
the origional ? was what were some options AVID is an option

Sure if ya really don't care then by all means no problemo heh heh; Neem and Soaps wash off, powrfull pesticides don't as a rule and osmotically (spelling dork but via osmosis) will actually enter the plant's tissues, cuz that's how they kill the little bastards too.
Any first year chem student can get you all hep on the HUGE differences between consuming a pesticide treated food, and SMOKING it, so NOT GOOD, but I am not here to preach, I am here to help those with a true organics growing dynamic to keep it that way and be free of mites for the most part.
I have been growin' weeds for about 30 years my friend, so I know a few things that will work really well and I have the resistance building part all built in to the control method. I am an indoor organics grower now but I am also highly skilled in Hydro, Aero, Greenhouse, Guerilla, Outdoor, Indoor, synthetics and organics. I sure have had my experience with all sorts of attackers big and small.
I will try to get to this tonight for all those interested in being organics and earth smoke friendly in my opinion, and in the opinions of many true organics growers out there too.
No disrespect intended amigo, just wanna help the true organic peeps stay organic is all, cuz I am a true believer.

sms will work as a foliar spray & it's made to kill mites....you can also spray it with the lights on. Avid works well but were some gloves when dealing with that stuff...bombs are an option if your not flowering.
