Hey everybody! The other day I was left stumped after having read an interview with Soma on feminized seeds. In this interview, Soma spoke about taking a true female and stressing her to herm. and then pollinating another female with that pollen to create feminized seeds. My question is, if I take a couple of female clones from the same mother and herm one, and pollinate the other female with that pollen- will I have the same results?

man i dont think we have any " breeders " here, well lets change that to professional breeders.but i went to doc's sitesand asked a few questions along the same lines and they told me it would take a while to acheive what i was after.like 4 or 5 generation to get back to the pure mother genes. There may be some usefull info in that thread if your interested thenClick here (http://www.hg420.com/showthread.php?t=15113)
If all your after is fem seeds then this may be plausable for ya from what i gathered from that thread.I wanted to cross my G-13 with a hermie's pollen from a G-13,what they said was i would be better off to cross the G with whatever and get seeds then keep a male from that batch to cross with the mom again, like 4 or 5 generations of this and i would end up with as close to the pure genes as you could get.

keep in mind ther are NO such thing as all FEMALE seeds.
even with Soma's " rhodelization" he is stressing plants..
stress causes hermies..

feminised plants are controled hermaphrodites and CAN sprout male pollen sacks at any time even in successive generations.
Ive had this discussion with Jorge Cervantes and Heink from Dutch passions( head breeder for DP )..

Why do you think they are sold as FEMINISED seed instead of FEMALE seed?:D

they have their place just not in SOG or breeding gardens.

Know what you grow folks.
