Hello all!

I had a few questions about this fert and I figured id post em :D

Looks like I'm gonna HAVE to use the MG right now. The cotys are starting to turn yellow and the plants are starting to bush out (today is Day 18) ;)

I looked at this big ass box of MG we got at the greenhouse it says "General All purpose plant food." The NPK ratio is 15-30-15

That sounds a bit too damn strong to me for a first fert, but what do I know:rolleyes: ;)

I figure I would mix 1/8 dose with 1 gallon of water and hope for the best. Any ideas about this? And does anyone think it is too early to be ferting them at 18 days? :)

Thanks all!

The NPK ratio is 15-30-15

Thats more inline with a flower fert then it is a Veg fert. Peters makes a good veg fert and they appear to have just reformulated their All Purpose mix to a 24-12-18 mixture. I've been using it now for a week or 2 and the plants are loving it.

18 days is not too young to feed. I've fed as early as 10 days from sprout. Its all in the dosage. 1/8th also may be a bit weak (without seeing your plants ). If you mix it up that way ( which would be 1/8 tsp per gallon) you could feed 2 water cycles in a row, with the third being a water only cycle...

Keep an eye on the plants. Their color is a window to their health.

You know enough to ask:D

Remember, the numbers indicate how many pounds of NPK there are within 100 pounds of product. Shultz 20-30-20 is a very concentrated fertilizer whereas Alaska 5-1-1 is gentle.

Anytime you even think it might be too strong, stict with instinct and cut back the dosage:)

Today is Day 19.
I am going to transplant them all to bigger pots then give them the 1/8 dose and we'll go from there. I would give 1/4 but I figure I can always up the dose but if I burn them, I burn em

I'll let you all know what happens ;)

Hey peeps, today is Day 22, still haven't ferted yet.

I found this other stuff, maybe as an alternative to MG. It's called "Schultz 10-15-10 Plant Food w/ Micronutrients"

On the side it states that it contains:

0.10% Iron
0.05% Manganese
0.05% Zinc

Says to add 7 drops of water to every quart of water for everything you grow. Yes it's liquid form with a dropper.

This still sounds a bit strong to me so if anyone reccomends this over miracle gro, how much dosage would you say would be good?

If not, I'm gonna go ahead and give them 1/8 dose of Miracle gro and see what happens but I saw this and thought it may work out better.

Thanks all
