Figured since I introduced myself that i should also go ahead and start a grow journal with my current grow. I am growing 3 Ice plants right now. I'm using a hydro system, with a bubbler. Using a 250 watt hps for flowering. Used a 250 watt MH for veg.

I'm using the FloraMagic brand nutrients right now. Getting ready to swith those here soon.

I have 3 confirmed female Ice plants. They're all different sizes. I have a runt of the bunch, an extremely tall plant and a plant that has just grew like crazy from day 1. I call her my Ice Queen.

I've had a few problems along they way, but have worked each out as they happened. The first mishap was my electric being out for 13 straight hours when in the early stages of vegetation. I had to nurse them back to health, but they kicked butt back in gear. The second problem was a nutrient problem. I had read the directions wrong on the nutrients and then later realize that I had given them to much. Once I had that figured out, I flushed the tub and gave them the right amount of nutes. A few days later they bounced back. My 3rd sad moment was when i realized the 3 White Widow i was growing with the Ice girls, we either male or hermies. I ended up with 1 male and 2 male, had to get rid of em:( So after they were gone and the confirmation of my females, I knew I was set to get ready to clone.

Here we are at day 19 into flowering. These plants seem to grow at least an inch over night. I can now see little white buds coming from some of the bud sites. Here are some new pics that I just took 5 min ago.

I'll be sure to keep everyone up to date with how my grow goes.
HAPPY GROWING everyone!!!

the one that you think is the runt is more likely the indice phenom of ice i thought the same thing the first time i grew ice the shortest one is the one i should of kept clones of but i chose the taller 1 if i was you i would take cutting of each so you can keep growing her and when these are done you will know which 1 preformed the best and most potant and keep her clones and have a whole crop of killer ice for down the road i noticed with my ice the shorter more had more of a body buzz but still had a cerebrel high as well but the same was not true for my taller ice got some new ice seeds in the bullpin waiting to get them started but it'll be at least anouther month or 2 before i start them not enough room at the momant

Tomorrow will be 3 weeks into flowering I'm quite impressed with how much these little beauties are growing day to day. My tallest ice plant is 36 inches tall, the other two measure in at 24 and 25 inches. They seem to get taller and fuller every day. The smell is starting to get stronger and stronger... luckily I have my computer right by the closet, so all I gotta do is breathe in to smell them Here's some new pics I just took a few minutes ago. I'm running out of room to photograph em. They're gettin so big now, and I can only scoot back so far before i hit my desk. Here they are.... Enjoy!!

Ok, question for you guys. I'm wanting to switch my nutrients over from FloraMagic for veg... 10-8-18 to MaxiBloom for flowering... 5-15-14. I'm at 3 weeks into flowering right now. Is now a good time to go ahead and switch em? And if so, how should I do it? Gradually add it to the nutrients that are still in there now? Or do I just go ahead and flush my tub and start the MaxiBloom all at once?

yeah i useuly switch mine to flowering nutes there first day they go into the flowering room but i use fox farm's and thats how they say you get super fat buds by getting them started with the flowering nutes so they get a good early foundation for the buds to build on. but if you have a late blooming sativa these sometimes take upto a month until they start to flower but it's up the you the grower to decide when is the best time to feed if you don't think she can handle it dn't give it

Just a lil bit of an update I flushed my tub completely out tonight and fed my girls their new nutrients. They all have plenty of distinguishable white hairs so I'm 100% sure they're all females. Think I yanked the males out before they had a chance to do any kind of damage. My tallest plant now stands at 39 inches, and my other 2 are at around 31 inches. Losta growin over the past few days. Hopin to see them really take off over the next few days in the budding area. I'm at 3 1/2 weeks into flowering. So far so good... keepin my fingers crossed. Here's some new pics, Enjoy!! (Thanks for the help Ice, very much appreciated)

We're at day 28 of flowering. Things seem to be going pretty smoothly so far. The girls have adjusted nicely to their new nutrients. I'm starting to see more and more buds coming on a daily basis, but they're still really small. My girls keep getting an inch or so taller every day, so I'm beginning to wonder if they're ever going to stop growing in height. My tallest plant stands at 43 inches (which btw, is taller than my daughter) and the other two at 37ish. The two fullest plants had to be tied down, they started getting top heavy. I do have one concern with them though, the two biggest plants' bottom leaves are starting to dry out and fall off... Is that normal? and if not, what should I do about it?? Anyways here's some new pics, Enjoy...

i know most plants leaves die when they are in the flowering room towards the end of flower mine never did but i only had 1 big plant and that was a mother plant i took cuttings from her and put them to flower at 6" and ended up with 16" inch plants when they were done so mine almost trippled in heigh when in flower

Hey Ice, got a question for you... You're the only other person I know to have actually grown Ice... I'm at 4 weeks into flowering and my buds aren't too noticable yet. Is something goin on that i should try to fix? or does the Ice plant take longer than this to have visable buds?? I'd really appreciate any help you can give me, I'm starting to worry that there's something terribly wrong with my girls...

i never grew her as big as you did so mine flowered a little differant it also depends on weither you got a few more sativa style plants in how they bud mine realy never got huge buds but i chose the more sativa version of ice but the buds were always white in colar a few clones would start to turn purple towards the end but just a few flowers so i bread my ice to someone elses northern lights and got thicker buds still tring to find the one from the seeds that looks more ice like but so far every one has turned out covered in glands and so far about half start turning purple but just the preflowers and the first few flowers from when they first go to flower also let her go for an extra week or 2 and you should see tighter buds at least mine got thicker by doing this but it don't mean yours will

I'm having a slight problem with one of my plants. The tallest plant... which has reached over 5 ft in height... isn't getting any buds. I'm into about my 3rd week of flowering. There are white hairs at the top of the plant. So I'm 100% sure it's female, I'm just not sure why it's not getting buds like my other two. Anyone have any suggestions as to what might be going on?

Yes they do, my buds aren't very big, and you can already see the white crystals forming on them. I can't imagine what they'll look like when they're completely done!

yes some of them literly turn white exspeacialy when they get dried out but unfortunenutly they have more of a heady buzz from the sativa influnce but i'm sure that it depeands on the seed as some would have more of an indica buzz

she's a more sativa version of ice she should start budding in anouther week or 2 the more sativa the longer it takes for them to start to flower sometimes
