well,i know some of you old fart dont like this boom boom music but i loves it;)

i like to do abit of mixing on the ol decks (when my needles aren't broke).mainly break beat,nu scool and old scool.

i dont go out clubbing anymore so its hard to keep up with the latest releases and what not but i tend to go for the older stuff anyways like.

these are me wheels of steel.only cheap things but they get ya spinning and thats what counts right:).

only prob with these is the needles..there crap and cost alot so i need to change the whole cartridge and get some that will hold better needles and I'm laughing.

I just noticed this thread Bro.....

spinning huh....
I'm the House DJ in my crew.
There's another guy who does the DMC battle tricks, another who is a blend master, one great all around DJ who mixes the radio and top cuts you hear commercially, and ofcourse the drum machine master in the rear doing his thing when we all need a break.

Wonder what side of the pond you're on.....

Either way...ever heard of Stanton Groovemasters 2s ??
They'll help you out and keep you on point when spinning the 12s

I guess that's the way to go if you can't play an instrument. J/K :halol: :band:

Ofcourse it's the way to go

.....interesting.....you say that because spinning is an instrument if you speak and hear the language...:bong:

Im an ole geeser and still thump the deep house tracks and some hiphop (Common, KRS-One, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, 50 cent, Nature, etc etc....feel me)

aye up drumin buddy....trust me bro..ive played these tings since 1989.its a fekin art bro:D

like profound says...you can mix any ol thing.i myself is into breakbeat/breaks/nuscool/oldscool/funk and weired shit:)

try thinking of two tunes that would make 1 great track...maybe just use mix bits of a track into another?scratching alone is an art,and i ain't talking about scratching the cheeks of ya arse either:p

its like you here a track that reminds you of another...thats a good platform to start on;)

mix it up peeps....vynal will never die whilst us dj's keep spinning!!!

oh...them stantons ya onaboout...i got um on me Dex's bro...also got me a new mixer and headphones...just need some 1210's now and I'm laughing:cool:

Hey Cranks, that looks pretty sweet; looks pretty complicated too.

Never really understood what goes on there. When you scratch do you ruin the vinyl?

Any sounds you can upload of some stuff you made?

yo RedEyezzzzz,
scratching wont scratch ya records bro...ya just making the record play at a diff speed.to scratch a record, well,,,,you literally have to scratch/scrape it either by knocking the arm which will push the needle over the record scraping all the groves...this is what makes ya record jump...or by dropping the record or dropping somit on the record.you basically have a cross fader which will play one Chanel on on side and if you flick the cross fader over all the way then it will play the other chanel...some peeps can use upto 8 decks at a time:eek: all depends how many Chanel's your mixer has...mine has 4;) to scratch you simply flick your cross fader back and forth but at the right time so it only plays the parts you want to...its all in the timming if ya gets me...pretty hard to explain really like:o
