about ready to start putting plants in the ground so I've been busy outdoors

I started a bunch of seed from last summers grow ..... and a few new ones :D

5 2' x 3' holes are ready and soaking with water, Fish ferts 5-1-1 & 0-10-10, bone meal, blood meal and B-52 etc ....... for a day or two

I'm trying out 3 different things in the 5 holes

3 of the holes have Composted Steer Manure in the bottoms
1 has Composted Chicken Manure
1 has a bag of Patio-Plus w/ 1gl Perlite, 1gl Vermiculite, 1/3 cup blood meal, 1/3 cup bone meal (the basic Soil-less Mix I use for outdoors)

gotta learn this year to plan for next years

had a sinkhole where the rootball was hahaha

I went down 3ft but only 1ft wide

filled it with my normal soil-less mix and filled it with ferts to soak in

put a cut up 15gl bucket so the dog dont kill it

Just read the whole thread through while burning off a cd.

This is what sites like this one should be about, lots of pictures of sterling work in the garden, man you've got the touch.
Such glorious, varied, healthy enough to walk out of the pot, fecking huge plants, I'm so jealous.

I guess that despite the robbing scum you've managed to farm in enough, hope so.

You really should think about that dog, you could maybe teach it to shoot a catapult. That way it could deal with the rippers from the other side of the fence saving everyone time and effort.

Might be difficult without oppose able thumbs though, now I come to think about it.

Anyway, great job. I want to go on holiday next July or August. Will you come to Spain, stay in my house and look after my girls while I'm away next year?

I can pay in beer or weed.

any idea on size they'll get outdoors? I might have already asked

rolanterroy
11-26-2006, 01:10 PM
In the f2s you are gonna have some that favor the Malawi structure/morphology and so yes these could get really big outdoors; others will favor the Cherry Bomb, way fat and prolly only get 5-6' max; what I would be looking for if I were you would be structure of the Cherry Bomb, minimum 10 week flowering (cuz the flowering times will vary as well) with that DEADLY high flying intense speedy Malawi ass kicking hightype!

All of them (most likely) will be super happy and up, but *some* will really stand out on the sativa side of the hightype. Look for lots of small headed trichs, this isn't an absolute but fairly good sign she is carrying (dominant at least) the Malawi CBN/CBD x THC resin type ;)

Yeah bro, 'pillars really really like lots of sativas especially! They are notorious for setting up homes deep in flowers and all their damage and poop causes mold/rot to THRIVE!

Wasps, orb web weaving spiders (to catch the egg laying moths at night) and praying mantis are all ravinous enemies to them. Cedar chips on the ground work kinda good against the moths but ya gotta stay light with them cuz of something they emit cannabis don't like. A little is all you need anyways not a bunch!

Mice, yikes! I had a rat plague one grow in a shed one year, that sucker I bet weighed like 2lbs, and could fit through a golfball (mebbe it was even smaller) sized hole. He cut into hydro lines, chopped plants off at the bases, shredded electrical wiring insulation, pains in the ass and hazards too! Good luck, fuzzy kitties kick their asses good!

LoL, well get those mice fast man, you need to handle them pronto, cuz they adapt and learn fast, and within a week or two they will have stepped up their destructive habits, several of which can cause fires and floods etc....

My buddy got rid of them a few years ago with something weird like a fogger or something, but he had to tear down everything first and that sux! I like animals man, but mice in the grow have to be handled fast especially when they are gathering "nesting" materiels! you'll be up to your ass in mice soon! :D

will add more of all I can to stop'm ASAP

they got the RO lines last year so I need to change to copper tubbing ..... glad the hydro grow was up stairs

oh yeah, will they try and eat the organics I have in plastic? moved all I can to glass but as you'll see I have a lot more to protect

rolanterroy
11-30-2006, 11:30 AM
I never seen 'em go after plastic containers of nutes and stuff, but I'm pretty sure it's not beyond them to do that; prolly for just the plastic though for nesting, I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would entice them as far as nutes go 'cept mebbe molasses. Prolly LOVE Vermiculite, RockWool Perlite ya know, killer nesting materials ;)

That rat I had one year way back was all about the plant stems yikes! in one night he turned a 3' topped Durban Poison plant into a few shreds of "twine stuff" on the floor after "lumberjacking" it off at the base "Timber!" LoL! They loves cannabis fibres for those wonderful nests!
