Any ideas to make a cab, ventilate it?

i was thinking a regualr 10'' fan would be fine but temps could get hot :)

Just a thought TAN as your intending to use a fairly low wattage HPS light, I wonder if you'd be better of with 2 125W Red spectrum Envirolights, one benefit would be less heat.

well a bit late as the light is on its way :rolleyes:

but i looked into them and i already use CFLs which have a lot more oranges and reds than the floro tubes, and I have seen good results with HPS, the fact that i have to order from the U.K pisses me off so i decided on a HPS

I figure on a 2.5- 3 foot squared cabinet or a little bigger with a raised floor to help with temps

soil grow, indoor so if anyone has any ideas on what works well lemme know!

plants grown from seeds will need more room than that bro;)

avrage size of plants ready to flower at about 12 inch...that will finish at about 3 ft....and thats without the room for ya pots and light plus the 12 inch ya gonna need between the plants and the light.

why did you have to order from the uk and yes ac work wonders at cooling down growroom as long as the ac is big enough but i dont think with only 250 watts you'll need 1 i barley use mine and i'm close to 1000 watts and i dont use one in my veg room which has 320 watts as for a fan i'd get a rotateing fan and mount it to the wall as you don't wan't it blowing on your plants directly and go to a home improvement store and get you a bathroom vent fan and mount it at the top of your room or cab. if done right you can evan hook-up a carbon scrubber for less than $100.00

well i got a veg cab and the 250 is going to be the flower cab

also have one for cloning!

so starting from seed isnt a problem at all!

ya bro but if ya gonna flower plants from seed then there gonna be at least 2.5ft tall when done bro.you'll need a cab of 4.5ft min.if its clones then its a diff ball game as you can put clones into flower as soon as they have abit of root ball/mass/rooted.

maybe keep a short mother in veg,then take a load of cuttings off it.root um,veg for a week in 4x4 inch square pots and then wack um into flower in 6ltr square pots.

in a 3x3x4ft cab you could have 8 plants;)

recomended soil bio bizz's al mix(use plain old peat based garden compost with abit of perlite for seedlings upto 2 weeks old or use the light mix,

nutes,bio bizz's full range...

ya cant go far wrong with BB products;)

fox farms is another good make.

I clone in a differnet chamber that allows room for them to grow a bit and the veg chamber is all floros and keep most plants very tight and busy

this shaman though loves to stretch tho

Hey man if you are planning to go with the 250hps I would recommend getting a t least a 265cfm squirrel cage fan or inline fan...the 250's actually put out alot of heat especially if you are doing the grow in a cab...get or make a cool tube if possible...it will cut down heat considerably. If you have height issues you can always do screen of green, sea of green, or LST(low stress training). I have done a couple of grows using a 250hps...they can produce quite a bit of buds if everything is right ;)

:D thanks trippin any ideas how to build a cool tube?

i was going to use a fan on the bottom of the cab to blow air upwards, it might direct some of the heat up and out of the plant area
