good morning all!
well, it's another fine sunday here at stately layne manor.....
for those of you that don't know, a family illness has come up and i have decided to leave the state i've been living in for the past 8 years, and head back to the left coast.
lots of packing and sorting still ahead of me (how did i collect so much crap?). at the moment, i'm enjoying a nice cup of fair trade, organic, french roast (it really does taste better than starbucks...). time is ticking, and there's still lots and lots to do......
i hope everybody has a relaxing sunday.
say mel, where's the cakes?

Morning Folks.
I began my day on some other boards PMing back and forth with a great big knucklehead. It was fun.http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/images/smilies/laugh.gif
It's a gray day around here again and I have no motivation. Guess I'll fire up a few, and pass the day reading, doing crosswords, and preparing for my week.
The wife went to the health club but I'm in such tiptop shape, I don't have to.http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/images/smilies/mrgreen.gif
The only thing I can get a handle on today is my pipe, so there ya have it.

:hello: hello fine people.
this truly is a great sunday for me...as some know..I have had a horrible domestic situation going on that has really hampered me and has also been wearing on me.
Patience really is a grand tool. My wife's grown son who ended up back under her skirt has a cracked topic habit that consumed him..and us. I could have just shut down and called the police on him myself..put the necessary paper on him to keep him away from me and out of my home. but that would have put him out on the street and in his condition..who knows what bad things could have happened to him..bla-bla..anyway..I have been working on this for awhile and it is happening today..he has been staying here against my better judgement b/c the police are looking for him..the stress of thinking the worst and seeing leo come knocking on my door with a search warrant has been enough to satisfy even an adrenaline junkie..long story short..I have been working with his ex-wife behind the scenes..today, as I type..he is getting ready to hop a train to an out of state 12 month recovery program...in another state so he can't come running back to his mother and the warrant to keep him there..yuk-yuk ;) ..so today truly is a great day here..for all involved...now I can actually allocate some time to my grow!!
do we have a smiley floating on a cloud?..heh-heh..phew, this has been a long hard road.

good morning, community!
well, another sunday am that i woke late.
french roast is a brewin', checking out the boards, etc.
i'll be making a trip to the thrift store today, this time i'll be dropping off a truck load of stuff. the funny thing is, most of it came from thrift stores to begin with.
it's like i was just renting it.....
anyway, coffee and hgb, and hopefully the pancake master makes an appearance....i'm starved!
i hope everyone has a relaxing sunday.

This sunday AM before the fam rose I had some fun. Harvested a giant Sweet Pea enjoyed a smoke of dumpster, sipping some free market "holiday blend" coffee from the hippy store. Wife and kids made some playdough and goofed off later when they woke.
Hey had an exciting week spent 7 hours in emergency room Tuesday. Our girl twin feel down at pre -school last week and needed seven stitchs in her darling little chin, looks like she has a blue goate'. Now she is like a Persian rug, no longer perfect but one mar, still beautiful. Poor thing it was quite a trauma for her. We made sure to stop at Toys-R-Us on the way home from the hospital, there was a Polly pocket Mermaid that she wanted , so I inguled and spoiled her. Exciting week

ps~..he is gone!!! :D..woo-woo!
haha..Milagro...that reminds me of a friend of mine that I visited that I had not seen in awhile..he told me his wife bought him a real nice set of weights and bench ect. so he showed me how he had a spare bedroom set up as a work-out area..so obviously I asked him..oh, you working out now?..great!!..he responded with one of the funniest things I've heard..you may have even saw me use a form of it..I do whenever I get a chance :D..he said..nah, whenever I get an urge to work out...I just go sit down and wait until it passes..haha..that ranks up there with another friend who was drunk and being evil...so I started messing with him..ah, hgow are you going to get to heaven being so evil?..."I'm not going to heaven!..all my friends are in hell".....but hell is like living your worst nightmare for eternity!....."we will put out the furnace" was his response...so I said to myself..hmm, better leave this alone...so there was a few minutes of silence and I had let that conversation go..until he must have been in profound thought and stomped down his foot and said...and after we put out the furnace we are going to go to heaven and cut the wings off the angels!!...damned fool..I still laugh when I think about it. :D

Buenos dias chicos y chicas. http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/images/smilies/bandit.gif
It is sunny but cold here in central Spain. Frost on the pumkin so to speak. I'm holing up today. I have some work to do for Monday, and no desire to venture further than my own backyard today.
The wife went to the gym again, and will head out to look for a new couch today. Ours is only two years old, but it's too big, and too uncomfortable, so it's history. This time we'll be smarter in our selection, I hope.
The stores are usually closed on Sundays here, but they can all be open Sundays during December. You will never catch me in a mall on a weekend, never, never, never.http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/images/smilies/nono.gif
This afternoon, I think I'll light a nice fire in the living room and watch either Harold and Maude or Being There. Two of my very favorite films; both directed by Hal Ashby. They never get old.
If anyone would care to join me..... the smoking lamp is lit. http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/images/smilies/mrgreen.gifhttp://www.hempcultivation.com/420/images/smilies/smokin.gif
BTW - Apologies to anyone who has already read this same post on another site. I like to just copy and paste it over here because the smilies and everything just pop back up. Too cool for school! :D

Good morning folks,
Dull, dreary, drizzly, grey day around here.:coffee:
The old lady is out of town visiting her family, so I'm all by my lonely. Tried smoking more dope than usual, but that's pretty hard to do.
I've been extremely lazy the last two Sundays, and now I'm paying the price. I have a lot of work to do today, to be ready for a slew of Stateside conference calls this week.
Over here, its a holiday week, but not for me.
Okay, enough griping.... I need you folks to go out there and have a good day for me too. Get after it. :D

AHHH sunday,
I dont really like sundays, its the symbolic sign of the end, and the start offcourse.
Yet for the past year and half, every sunday has been upsetting.
Its because i leave my girlfriend and face another week of hard work and producing.
I only see her once a week because she lives a fair way off, so th efeelings i link with sunday is lonelyness and an empty presence.
just thought id share with you fine folks...

I got married the day after christmas,I dont really have any sharable pix sorry. My daughter was the photographer and pix for the homies didnt cross her mind.It was a simple ceramony, just a few peeps there. We held the wedding at her fathers as he is pretty sick and wouldnt otherwise been able to make it.We have been together for almost 10 years so the wedding didnt really change anything just made it official[I now officially have an AL Bundy life] :teef:.

Hell, I missed posting this Sunday, because I was a displaced individual.
I woke up after a night of agressive fireworks displaying, and smoking enormous quantities of cannabis. The New Years fireworks were seen in the Grote Market, in the town of Haarlem, in the Netherlands.
I watched them from the window of Dr.& Mrs.buzzmobile's suite. They lasted an incredible 35 minutes non-stop. They became more horizontal the later the show went on. I thought for a few minutes that maybe we were in Iraq.
Incredible!
Spent Sunday Morning having breakfast and saying goodby to my socio-grow-bro, and his charming wife, then walked around Amsterdam waiting til it was my time to fly back to reality.
A good time was had by all. Happy New Year to all my friends here on the boards. May it be the best year ever for all of us!

Buenas tardes mis amigos.
My Sunday Morning is on the wane, as a matter of fact it's just after four p.m.
I went off this morning to meet with a co-worker discussing the upcoming week at work since its the first since before Christmas. Spent the rest of the day, wandering aimlessly in a stoned stupor around the casa, doing crosswords, and watching Sunday TV :smokin: . Took a nice little siesta too.
Lazy, lazy, lazy. Yup, think I might just sit in my comfortable chair, break out a good book, put a Law & Order Criminal Intent on the box and fall asleep again. :D
Get out there and make a day of it! Have some fun! (Do as I say, not as I do.)

An internet female friend attacked my manhood lastnite with....with your right leg make clockwise circles...now with your right hand draw an imaginary 6 in front of you....ooops..I'm betting your leg isn't making clockwise circles anymore..haha...I have it where it will stop..instead of going counter-clockwise....haha..once..if ever..I can do this...I'm going straight to the bar for bar bets..can you do this? heheh..now imagine a bar full of spaz'. :D

well peeps,i dont post in this thread often enough so here it goes;)
just thought i would share with ya my yearly experience visit to the vets.once a year i have to take the dog to the vets for his booster and kennel cough for when he goes into the kennels for when the family goes away on hols(vacation).(((no i dont even trust the inlaws with me fekin dog;) )))
now my dog (taffy) cant fekin stand the vets one little bit.cant say i blame him either as the booster needles about 2 inch long and the kennel cough has to be squirted up his nose using a syringe:mad: .so,we gets there and where taken straight into a room.this is also a first time at this vet so this European vet says.....does he bite????i said, only if ya give him an injection or squirt somit up his nose, apart from that hes a caring and loving dog:D
ohhhhhh she says, should we use a muzzle?????i said wellllll, if ya like the amount of fingers ya have then i think it would be a wise move:rolleyes:
she gets the muzzle and leans over to put it on.she must of got about 1 foot away from his face and wooosh...taffy goes for abit of a (fuck off you ain't putting that thing on my face) bite.the vet then says I'm goona get one of the girls to come in and give some help and offf she went out of the room.fat load of good i thought that was gonna be...last time he had it done i was lying on the floor with him wrestling like a mother fucker, had me riding round on him like a horse.
on her return with a skinny little assistant says this is not normal for your dog to be this afraid...has he been mistreated????I'm thinking ya cheeky fooker you....then said,we had let him have a few to many chocolates over xmas but we also bought him a tred mill for exercise so the weight will soon come off:D she just looked at me daft...then i said it might have somit to do with the shit ya squirting up his nose
by this time i had managed to get the muzzle on taffy and hes now shitting his brick right left and ceter...she managed to give him the injection no probes but when it came to squirting that shit up his nose it was back to buckaroo bonko style....in the end i had to grab him in a head lock whilst lying on the floor, wrapping my legs rond him whilst covering his eyes, only then could she get it in:eek:.
and to top it all off taffy got his own back on the vet as when she was taking the muzzle off had him sitting between her legs facing away from her...when she started to pull it off, taffy flipped out one last time pushing back into her legs and in shock and fear he squirted a load of runny poo all over the vets white shoes out of to much stress.....;)
thank god its once a year huh:cool:

good ole taffy huh cranky ;) He didn't have his Martian helmet on did he

Snow? wazzat?
Been a bit nippy of late, lows are dipping into the mid 30's here. OK the the daytime temps are in the mid to low 60's most of you would call me a whiner for complaining about such mild temp (well I'm not whining), just making convo.
Smokin up what little water-cured schwag I have and a cup o'jo.
It'll be getting light soon, gotta pull the flower group out of the closet for some more of that Arizona winter sun.
between my usual Sunday morning radio program and the Broncos playoff game I'll be out and about.
Maybe I'll have sometin to smoke come springtime. Just keep tryin'
was a nice sunny day here after a month of record rains....
spent some time mess'n in the yard clean'n up tree limbs and the such from the high winds we had as well
pot'd up a few plants and watched a great sunset....

Sounds like bliss. We have un interupted sea sunsets but they're a 30 minute drive away. Perhaps I ought to make more effort to watch em........
Went bowling and had 7 or 8 strikes. The 8 year old still beat me without any strikes!! What does a man have to do to show a youngster how to do it? Put a thumb in his ear and throw him down the lane?
I've decided to sell all my kitesurfing kit and buy a surf board over the weekend so most time was spent surfing the net looking at mini-mal boards.
I wonder if my thumb will fit in his ear.................... :hmmmm:

dry-as-abone......Cool and dry this AM and the will morph into a truly beautiful afternoon light breezes and wall to wall sunshine, shorts-n-t-shirts weather.
Today begins a new chapter in my life and it hopefully one of those positive permanent changes.
One of the things I can look forward to doing is improving my garden. That will come over the coming months.
This morning's wake-and-bake courtesy of some early branch bud samples.

good morning (at 4:30pm!?!) all-
today is a relaxing day here.
nice and warm, just the slightest breeze.
spent the early part of today making all of the preparations for our trip to kauai. only 6 days to go!
i have little need for shopping for this trip (i have enough cf cards for 1000 pics, and am oly bringing 2 pairs shorts, 1 pr sandals, 1 pr boots,1 pr jeans, a couple of shirts, and an armani suit for stepping out in style).
mom and mrs layne have other ideas. they need new everything.
so i played taxi while they shopped.
a nice bite of lunch afterwards, and now i'm having a special moment with a bit of trainwreck.
i hope all are having as relaxing a day as can be had.

Gonna be a nice spring day here, in the 60's and sunny. Need to find those vegetable seeds I bought last week and get a few of them started. Do some more laundry and house work. Man I got you beat, it's 4:30pm here and I am still in my PJ's.... Haha....:p
I woke up at 9:00 this mornin and started cooking pancakes. I made them the hard way. flour, eggs, milk, butter, sugar, and flower. Not the easy dump out a box and add milk way. Well, let's do a little flash back here first.
When I woke up I came down stairs and started my coffee and went back up and fired up a big ole' bowl of my best aged AK-48. Smoked it before I even took my first sip of coffee. I don't get a chance to do the whole wake and bake thing too often. Hell, I bet it has been a year and a half or two years since I have done it. I enjoyed it very much...
Anyways, back to breakfast.
After we got it cooked and ate we watched the movie "Mr. Deeds" with adam sandler. I didn't even do the dishes from breakfast.... lol. After that the race came on and well, it's still on and I am still in my PJ's. About to go fire up another bowl.
sunday is on tuesday or wed. for us :D
power went out here yesterday so we went for a drive ;)
and had a bit to smoke :D
enjoy the pics .... all 2 of them

Shorter commute times, more space, more privacy and new neighbors will be the benefit of this move. I'll post some pic of this place once I'm out just to let you guys in on what it was like.
gonna spend the day by purchasing the first of the garden improvements and packing some less than essential items for moving and gettin prepared for the next month or so.

good morning (er, afternoon) community!
i guess it's been a while since i've popped my head in here.....
mel, i know i'm a few minutes late, but do ya still have any of those wonderful sounding pancakes left?
sunday morning started pretty mellow. i woke when my body was done sleeping, had a delicious cup of italian roast and some pastries, and did a bit of 'net surfing.
as a realistic time for phone calls approached, it was ringing off the hook (as it has been for weeks). my mom's friends and family have been calling to say their goodbyes (which i screen. the last thing my mom wants to listen to is a bunch of crying people), doctors, therapists, etc have been setting up visits for next week. we signed onto hopspice a week ago, and they are WONDERFUL!!! in-home nursing visits, energy work, baths, medical supplies delivered (an elecric hospital bed, wheelchair, etc.), meds delivered to the doorstep, and in home massages for mom and her primary care giver (that would be me)......just a great organization providing wonderful sevices.
it all makes for a more relaxing sunday morning. it's nice to have a staff of trained pros helping me out.
all of that aside, i'll be spending the rest of my sunday here at the house with mom. a nice dinner is in the works, fresh fish and asparagus is the direction i'm leaning, and a recent visit from the thc fairy (a very beautiful soul who insists on donating whatever supplies i may need) has me well stocked with goodies: bud, kif, and hash for me, canna fudge, tincture, and cookies (as tolerated) for mom. it looks like it will be a mellow day.
i hope everyone has a wonderfully relaxing sunday morning.

good morning community!
this is a tough sunday.
my sister and i have been spending the weekend cleaning house and sorting thru stuff. my mom was a collector of stuff (some may say "pack rat"), and that makes for a lot to do. it's been a trip finding all of the old photos, cards, and such.......pics of me when i was just a little one, xmas' past, etc.
a serious trip down memory lane.
went out for mimosas and breakfast at this little mountain eatery (mom's fav) where the furniture doesn't match and they don't care. i could almost feel her in the breeze.
so, back to the sorting.
i hope that everyone has a wonderful sunday.

Woke with a toke and dressed up the kids.,
Went out for breakfast followed with some fun in the park.
Now they're napping and it's time to smoke some down & play guitar.
Some sundays should never end.
Good morning everybody,
It's a refreshingly cool morning where I live. Here the days are hot but the nights get cool, like the desert, but it's not. Now, the birds are singing and the folks are sleeping.
I've already watered my outside plants, this is their favorite time of the day. They hold their little arms (branches) skyward in praise of the fleeting coolness. This afternoon they'll drop them to their sides looking like cousin it on a bad hair day.
I don't have any plans at this point for the rest of the day, but I'd like to stay active this morning and chill out in the afternoon. Yep, that's what I'll do, carry-on this morning, wind down this afternoon.... what time is it now?

Squirrels playing in the woods, cicadas are droning, birds singing. Quick dip in the pool, a baggel w/cream cheese and head in to check email and the forums...

Traisping aroud barefoot on the balcony and apartment with the doors and windows open the AC off. An overnight rainshower left the scent of freshly watered desert sage in the air. It also left a fair amount of humidity and coolness to enjoy before the sun blisters us with high 90's low 100's later this afternoon.
Well better than last week when we were wakin up to mid 90's for low temps and melting in the 110+ blast furnace breezes of the Sonoran desert.
Today? Enjoy the early AM sonata of the mourning doves, fold some laundry, and maybe mess with a couple of old computers, maybe catch a few snippets of the NASCAR race between light dozes in the La-Z-Boy.
Tomorrow?

AZ:
i love the smell a good rain creates. one of the things i miss the most about the midwest. we sure don't get much summer rain out here in cali. i'm jealous.
:D
today's kind of a lazy day. mrs. layne just left to visit some friends for a couple of weeks, so i'll have the place to myself to continue the sorting. it's goin' slow, but i'm getting there.
i've been looking for a new space to start another garden, and i think i have it figured out. it'll be nice to get back into the swing of things. another cool thing, it seems that everyone around here grows their own, and is more than happy to swap genetics. i think one of the hardest parts of the new garden will be settling on some strains.
for the next 1/2 hour, tho, it will be the normal activities for me....surfing the forums, and drinking french roast.
i hope everyone has a relaxing sunday.

Hey Arnold hope the recent heat wave there hasn't completely zapped ya.
I get a chance to visist relatives there from time to time.
Just seems like a whole different vibe when I go there, especially around the LA Basin. Dunno just seems like the variety of climates puts you in a different mood based on the area.
Anything from Desert to Alpine can be found there.
I'm sure if people looked around they could find exactly what they are lookin for.
French Roast, a doob and some early AM chillin' is just what the doctor ordered.
Here?
Well just catchin up on one of my favorite groups > The Beatles and the making of Revolver. The back story can be amusing, entertaining, and eye-opening in some cases.

If ya have a copy, dust it off and give a good listen, if not go buy a good CD copy... A worthy addition to any music library.

good mornin, y'all-
'tis a bittersweet sunday indeed.
i've been sorting, packing, donating, tossing, etc. for weeks now. figuring out what to do with mom's stuff is a trip......i don't want to toss anything, but come on....do i really need 100 vases, 3-4ft stacks of 45's (does anybody even have a record player anymore?), or 6 tons of mismatched tupperware?
nope.
but since i've been looking at this stuff since i was a kid, my better judgement gets cloudy.
the sweet part is all of the cool stuff......
my cub scout uniform (no, it doesn't fit me anymore.), pictures of my family going back at least as far as the donner party (that's when my family moved to california :) ), family camping trips circa 1972, etc, etc, etc.
as far as furnitue goes, i could open my own antique store now, if i wanted to.
of course that means i'll be needing at least a 3br from here on out.....
the part of the trip i didn't think about.......what to do with all of the stuff.
i think i'll sit back, smoke a bowl, and think about it.
:D
i hope everyone is having a wonderful sunday.
peace-

I was roused out of bed this am by a house full of energetic 7 year old girls.
my daughter had her friends at our place for a sleep over ( ha sleep) last night.
at 1 am I gave up on their completely out of hand silliness and went to bed, hoping that the house would stiil be there when I woke in the am
6 ish I was roused by these adorble little Frankenstien's monsters. I am not sure if they slept at all
just a wake no bake makes Mel cranky
Finally Mrs mel saved my ass and locked me down stairs for a minnute or two (3 quick bongers)
Upon my return a cup of coffee and a pancake turner was handed to me; with a knowing grin I took the implement and proceeded to make a mountain of French Toast, which disappered within minnnutes of being served (they apparentley had built up quite an appitite)
Saved by my Mrs what an angel
cookin for a group is fun with coffee and a bong hit or 3. Seeing those little angelic faces devour my French Toast was a real treat too

Actually slept in (past 7am) and just gonna do just enough to get ready for the next week or so (laundry, some ironing and clean up the car) and may even indulge in a rare afternoon nap.
Spent yesterday mornin' huggin one of my car projects fixin what I thought was the real problem, only to discover the real reason for the poor gas milage and the hot running.
Well once I get that fixed (waiting on parts)then maybe I can finally spend a weekend or two just kinda takin in the scenery on the Rim.
Of course I didn't spend the whole day huggin' the car, once I had the parts ordered, I spent the rest of the day getting re-aquainted with a smokin/drinkin' buddy I hadn't seen in nearly 2 years.
Just hangin out and shootin the breeze and catching a healthy buzz, that's how Saturday afternoons need to be spent.....

Our oldest is spending the weekend with her grandparents. The twins were free from the oppresion of their older sister! It was really cool to engage in conversation with them. Normally their older sister rides herd on them, not today , they were free range!
Today we had fluffy omlets stuffed with sundried tomatoes and <insert trumpet ta da> Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese. Some sausage patties and a big bowl of fresh blackberries (the fruit you stoners)
later a cup of coffee, community blend from the local hippie market, and a bong session with some Skush (Skunk x Kush)

Good morning clan,
I took my wife to town this morning to have brunch in one of our favorite places. We wined, dined, and read the morning papers.
She's leaving town tomorrow for a month... off working. I'm going to miss her terribly. I don't mind being alone, but I can never find anything, and she always can.
We went grocery shopping after the meal. I hate to go, and haven't been inside of a grocery store in quite a while, but everything we're buying was for me, and I'll probably have to do it again before she gets back so..... I figured it would be good practice.
Lazy afternoon playing with some new software to record our old cassettes to mp3 files and stick 'em in the computer. Starting with the Beatles Anthology.
Hope everyone spends the best day they possibly can. :D

Good Morning HGB,
Cool crisp early autumn weather here this morning, but it will warm up in the afternoon to summertime temps.
I had planned a fairly quiet day, clean the house somewhat, tend the flower and vegetable gardens though both are on the wane, they continue producing.
On the way down the the veggies I felt what seemed like loose rocks underneath my bare feet on the front lawn. Turns out my almond tree is dropping fruit.
I love almonds, especially almonds from my tree. Last year I was selfish enough to not allow any to be given away, and the harvest yielded enough almonds to last me until December. This year there's more.:jam:
I got out my long bamboo pole, spread out my big tarp beneath the tree and went to town on it. I beat it within an inch of it's life :flog: (big talk, if the branches break, no more almonds).
I figure I got about half the total yield, the rest will be ready within 10 days to two weeks, when I'll beat it again. Here's some of what is left on the tree:
http://www.homegrownbud.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5792&stc=1&d=1157890473
Below is how the almonds look while still in their husks/sheaths/coverings, and also the nut we all know and love in the black bucket.
http://www.homegrownbud.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5793&stc=1&d=1157890473
Getting the covers off will take a while this afternoon out on my patio while I'm transfering cassettes into mp3s. See? I slavedrive myself even on the sabbath.
These almendras can be roasted, toasted, salted, or candied. I prefer to eat them raw, just like they are now. Yummy. I like to blanch them too and prepare almondines. Not a big fan of marzipan though.
There you have it, a little almond education. Just call me professor nutcase.:smoke1: Happy Sunday one and all.

but i couldnt get the broadband to start.. i am such a novice to pc still..
woke up sunday am and my mobile (cell phone, there called mobiles here) wouldnt start to the server...(i have a sony ericcson 900i ) so i called the server, asked y, and they told me to turn it off and try again so it loaded and turned off to the network again .. called the server again and told them , argued with some lady, when she accused me of dropping my fone..i said hey i dont drop my fone.. which i dont...,and she again said ... well you must of broke it.. i said noooooooooo i didnt ! (Y would i drop my fone? i dont even drop it when i am stoned...)so good thing i still had my old sony 610 to use untill i can get to the shop today (mon)to get a replacement ,then the lady proceeded to say ..may i ask are you american? i said yah? why? she said oh i have been to the states.. i said ya where? and i always say ..florida or new york?(cuz all brits have been to florida or new york ..when they ask ya that, so i automatically ask that..) she said hey how did you know? i said all brits been there lol she said i was there during 9/11 i am oh , i am sorry and she proceeded to tell me all about it..( i think she was carrying me on to bring up the fone bill..) i said hey i hate to cut you short but i have things to do...and then she said well i hope you have a good monday..( in my head i was screaming.. SHUT UP!, )
anyways... since i am a beginner grower, and my plants are crap right now..AND my weed man is in the south of FRANCE(BASTARD) till wends.. i had to resort to cleaning my pipe and smoke resins, i know yer all saying YUCK! but wot can i do..i had some smoke and some crappy hash, that i thur out the window to the street so a bus could run it over.. cuz it was crap! so how was your day? Have a nice day!

Welp Sunday morning I awoke at 06:45AM facing SouthWest, slightly shivering from the chill of the Fall air inside the Jimmy..... after finally passing out round 04:30AM! WOW what a party that was!!!!
So...... Saturday morning I take the wife N kids and one of the kids' friends to the airport for their week long holiday to Dizney. After the 2 hr round trip drive up North N back and an hour wait at the airport I make it back home to prepare for MY week-end away!
Late Saturday afternoon I leave... after driving over an hour South I meet up with my two lady friends who proceed to tell me bout this party we're going to while we enjoy a beer and a couple hitters. Each decides to take our own vehicles jus incase one wanted to leave as it was a 40++ minute, if you dont get lost first, drive back to town of a 300 person popluation. (Personally I think they count the cats & dogs as well to come up with that number!)
This party was like out in the middle of BF&E down one lane gravel roads.... then jus as the sun was starting to set over the ridgeline and after a rather bumpy 4X4 trail ride thru the woods, a small meadow of about 20 acres opened up down by a creek bed. The tunes er cranked and windows in the Jimmy er rolled down as we come out of the timber but the music blasting from the Peavey amps was over powering.... Molly Hatchet Gator Country....... was being piped thru the mixing board. First thing that came into view on the far side of the meadow was huge Rebal flag being used as the stage backdrop for the band that was jus finishing setting-up.... on the left side of the 12' x 20' stage was 3'x5' US flag on a 20' pole... to the right of the stage another 3'x5' Rebal flag on a 20' pole.
Holy shit, I says to myself, what we got here.... a HillBilly Redneck party.. this is gunna be fun!
We arrived jus in time.... after introductions to the hosts, several band members and guests, I grab a beer from one of the three cut down 55 gallon plastic drums loaded with ice..... break out my hitters to pass around and watch as they take the first of a couple dozen chickens off of the large trailer type cooker.... to the side of the yard birds was a huge pan full of roosted hog. On the table jus yards from the stage was ALL THE FIXEN'S! Behind the stage were the gas generators and a custom built outhouse complete with moon shaped window in the door.
Now this is not a teeny booper party... I'd say the youngest person I met there was a lady of 32 years old.... the oldest I met was a guy 62 yo... most of these party goers, a collection of Bikers, Construction workers, and a few farmers... were in their mid 40's to early 50's... so on the menu, besides the above mentioned meat feast, was shit loads of smoke, beer, and music...... Southern and Classic Rock... with a great lean towards the Souther Rock side.
As the evening unfolds...... the band cranks up some great sounding tunes... more people arrive... ladies dance'n..... I give up the hitters and start rolling joints. Met one person from my home town, small world, that I did not know but do now... also recognized a guy I had worked with years ago down around this area... so we rekindled our friendship and met a few more people which he introduced me too.... WOW.
My good Buddy from the area, a brother to one of the girls that brought me to the party, finally arrives about 9:00PM after a long day at work and a quick shower. More introductions to people, some I had already met, others I had yet to chat with... bet I ended up meeting 95% of the people there, becoming quick friends.
......... remember all their names...... YEA RIGHT!
Two nice bonfires going about 40 yards from each other... stage in the center... Homemade wine passed around by the jug...... many dooby's rolled and smoked by all...... and the beer was a flow'n! Not one fight or serious argument.... all the people there, which the numbers never reached over 50, were good friends and/ or family.
Much Much later.... my Buddy wins the "Last Man Standing" award... from what he says..... by not passing out until 05:15AM.... the second man gave up at 05:14AM with the phrase "You win!".... as I said at the start of this Sunday Tale, I fell out bout 04:30AM.... think it was the 04:20AM smoke out that finally did me in!
Through out the evening as people arrived some of the folks set-up dome tents... a few of us jus crashed in our trucks.
Man what a beautiful sunrise it was this Sunday morning... out in the middle nowhere, not a cloud in the sky, lite peaking through the timber... a couple hitters for the wake N bake.... jus Grand! After the morning duties had been taken care of... others still passed out and no sign of the promised morning breakfeast being cooked any time soon.... three of us early risers decide coffee was number one priority! So off to town we go.... Coffee followed by breakfast... bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, frenchtoast, and biscuts & gravey.... Ya gotta luv small town restaurants!!!
We said our good-byes around 09:30AM... drove for almost 2hrs to get home.
Arrive....... no wife, no kids, silence....... PASS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

Mornin' folks,:coffee:
Since it is so early in my Sunday Morning that nothing yet has happened, other than the usual W&B....:smoke1:
I'll tell you all about the Sunday I had on Thursday. :slap:
Thursday was Columbus' birthday and over here where they claim him as a native son (as well do Italy and the Dominican Republic), they celebrate it a bit more seriously.
Everything is closed on Thursday, so let's make a bridge (puente) into the weekend by closing Friday too :deal: . Hey good idea! Let's bridge backwards too, and close up on Wednesday as well! So they did.:beat:
My wife and myself took off on Thursday and headed for the mountains to hunt for mushrooms, walk in the woods, and later have lunch at one of our favorite places.
We walked in the woods, found no mushrooms (too dry) and had a killer lunch. A great time was had by all.

Morning everyone! Herb you have the cutest pictures and stuff on your posts! It's a breezy cloudy but dry so far morning over here in Wales, hope Cranky has more sun down where he is. My harvest is going slow but sure...I'm starting to get the hang of it and I'm picking up speed...a very good thing since it seems to be taking so long. Last night I broke the rules of no lights during flowering and turned on every light possible outside and in the shed. I worked until nearly 12 and my eyes were crossed. My index finger was so numb it stuck straight out when I pried the sticky sissors away, I had to rub it for a couple of minutes to even get it to bend and join the other fingers. I truly do not know what I would do if I had any more plants than I have, I'm really overwhelmed by it. But I am also really proud...I'm posting a picture. The stem on the left is the top cola from the one plant that has always been different from the others, even though it came in the same pack from Sensi Seeds. The difference is even more apparent at this stage, the leaves are different, the stems are different colour and the smell it totally totally different. The other two stems are some of the main branches off patio lady...she is so heavy I have had to tie her buds up in several places. Today I'm going to take the main cola off her, its really big. Happy harvesting to everyone...and have a great Sunday!

Well been a while since I've even posted to this thread. still Oh-dark-30 here ... Predawn and I'm getting ready to head off to work ( it's my Thursday) the one advantage I have is the "business-casual" dress doen't apply on weekends.
So I got my favorite Wranglers/ Broncos shirt on, and I'll catch snippets from the NASCAR race also going on @ PIR as well, and I might be able to hear 'em from the balcony. I could yesterday while they were runnun' the Busch race. (Which I had to give up tickets to after management jacked myschedule yet again)
anywho, it's been nearly a month since I had a decent puff of anything. Not saying sobriety has it's advantages (my apartment has never been cleaner...LOL)
Hey happy Sunday to all, hopin my Broncos win another one and the day goes easy....

I've come to realize this Sunday Morning that the planning for our trip to Europe is pretty much near complete!
Kids, dog and two cats have "Handlers", "Wranglers" or "Sitters" all sit up and ready to go.
Plane tickets... purchased... check. Hotel reservations.....made.... check. Train travel from city to city..... purchased.... check. Local transport; trams, trains, Metro..... researched.... check. Local maps...... purchased.... check. (Also have maps off the net to print out, but will wait 'til a few days before departure to print out everything at once including itinerary, confirmations -train & hotel, etc.)
Opening hours, directions, and costs for the sights we'd most like to visit have been researched placed in the itinerary folder and located on maps. Other sights or points of interest will be contemplated when we're there...... depending on mood and weather.
The other night I found a complete, by street, addressed list of every Coffee Shop in Amsterdam. This is divided into three different "District" listings as well and also includes 'Smart Shops' and 'Head Shops'.... a Superb find in-deed!
However this list will be changing with the coming of new laws effective 01 April 2007, it is no April Fools Day joke. The new law now forbids the sale of alcohol and weed/ "smart drugs" at the same address. Some shops, just a few, have decided to give up their weed selling license and sell alcohol instead, but still being a weed smoker friendly bar. Many alcohol only bars in Amsterdam at this time do not allow weed to be smoked. Some Coffee Shops will keep their weed license and dispense with alcohol at that address and will open a Alcohol Bar next door or near the weed shop. So Amsterdam losses a few more Coffee Shops and gains more Alcohol Bars

Fred.....
I envy you brother, I would love to take a trip there..... Congrats!
This is one of my favorite threads to read. It really tells a lot about the person that is telling the story. What they enjoy, what they do, and most of all it is a closer look into who the person really is.
Me, well most of my sunday mornings in the last couple months have been spent in the woods. I took up bow hunting this year and have almost overly consumed myself into it. I have spent WAY too much money on it as well, but hell that's why we make it right? I also have a 7 year old son that enjoys hunting alot as well. I take him out as much as I can and it is usually sunday morning, sometimes saturday, and he has also missed a few days of school just to follow daddy out into the woods, better edjumacation anyways. lol....
Actually dec. 17 was a Sunday that will be hard for me to forget. That weekend Sat/Sun was the Youth only Deer Hunting season and my son and I went. Sat. we didn't see much, a couple does but I knew there were 3 nice bucks running the area since I had been bow hunting the hell out of it I knew most of there movements. We didn't see the bucks that day but the next day "Sunday" about 11:00 or so-ish we came out of the woods to head off to lunch and we walked up one edge of the woods just so I could see what was making some noise we heard and my son pecks me on the arm and whispers "Deer" and points behind us. There coming right at us was the 6 pointer I had seen on the porperty alot. We knelt down and he kept coming and my son took aim and finally shot. However, he missed, but we had so much fun that day and both of us were in the zone together. It was SO incredible! I wouldn't trade that day for nothing. Not even a trip to amsterdam.......

God damn Jr post up Brutha! hahahaha
I know, the site seems to be running a little slow so you have a tendency to double click.... is this thang working???? :slap:
Good to see you back around Bro..... thought you had frontal lobotomy er sumthin? LOL
It's great that you can spend that quality time with your boy... both of you learning together then applying and sharing those skills. I now whachya mean by getting 'The Bow Bug'..... a couple guys at work have taken it over the last few years..... you can see passion in their eyes when they tell their stories... the thrill, excitement, friendship.
You can see that kind of passion in my eyes when I talk about traveling around Europe.... meeting new people, learning a few new words or phrases in a different language, soaking up the history both visually and mentally... imaging what it must of been like for men and the slaves of the Roman Army building defenses back in B.C. time..... what it must of been like to live in a castle under siege for months in early A.D. The men and machines that fought across most of Europe during World War's I & II....... the atrocities that were commented during each and every war that as taken place on European soil. Admiring the structures, monuments, culture, beauty.....
I guess you could say Europe tickles my senses....... it always has, since back in the mid '80's when I arrived at a small Army Post in Southern Germany that would be my Home for the next 2.5 years. I took in as many sights as a lowly paid GI could afford....... after beer, hash, and women of course!
Let's jus say.... I wasn't a "Barracks Rat", once the duty day was done..... I'd hit the 'Rain-Box', slide into sum 'Civvies' and out the Main Gate.
And like that, he was gone! :buttshake:ninja1:
:rastab::eat::band::cheers::blah::happy::pass::mos h::cheers::crazydan::dancers::cheers::bong::crazy: :alky::rockon::goofy::bananna::sodrunk::laugh::chi ck::cheers::smoke1::eat::hug::angel:
If you can follow the story line above...... then you'll know that in the morning the Platoon SGT was like....... :sunny::shake::flog::mad3:
On another note, about Europe of course..... I plan to take my sons to Europe for their 18th Birthday.... The oldest jus turned 13 last week, 5 more years I cant wait!

or maybe learnin' a little patience there Fred ?
It's been a while since I've actually had a Sunday mornin' to myself felt real nice to get a 2-3 hour sleep-in.
Was planning on doin some work on one of my car projects, but not so sure I want to trade off the hard work and chilly temps for a cushy-comfy day in the La-Z-Boy and football. Priorities I guess.......
While some dark clothes would help keep me warm in the sunshine my hands would surely suffer from the cold temps and grime associated with workin on a car.
Think I'll save the manicure.....the car project will still be there....

Welp...... what the fuck have I been up to lately you ask?!??
Well.... going thru Winter clothes, Summers clothes, tossing in trash er donating to Goodwill.
Going thru one of my old hobbies of collecting militaria...... getting ready to list items on ebay. WOW I had forgotten the long process of how this works, it's been a couple years since I've ebay'd.
Listening to LOTS of music, spending WAY too much time on this actually..... finding new artists, new beats..... downloading....... Ooops did I say that? Trying to put together a few playlists for the coming Euro trip...... Gotta have my tunes!
Also been spending a shitload of time over at stickam.com....... kool sight..... lots of interesting people there.... good DJ's or net stations to listen too, exclt music links to follow... and sum weird links as well.
As far as the grow room goes...... the 1k is burning bright with 14 plants sitting snugly under.
bout 6 AK47 x NL, a couple GWL, a few POG xLS, couple WR, and ??.
Did a lil soil mix again... with limited availability of ferts.... I'm kinda making it up as I go along.... jus cuz I don't post much doesn't mean I don't read the posts. Learning slowly...... it really takes someone to explain thangs to me that I can see throwing there hands and arms around. Am thinking one of my main problems is not having enuf ferts in the soil mix.... or not giving high enuf doses for feedings..... which ever way you wanna look at it.
But these girls are doing a lot better now. Their last couple of weeks in the veg cab they were looking purty bad do to a hard water supply..... LOCKED UP!
Welp started using distilled water so got that sorted.. also got a few more ferts at the store to help..... sure did tickle the roots with new growth nice and shiny bright.... after about a week in the veg cab they sat under the 1k on 24/24 for about 10 days to recover and get used to the light. The light went dark, 12/12, on 1 Jan '07 @ 0500.
A few of the girls still have 'Issues' but I think I'm slowly sorting those out..... I jus dun wanna over do it. The rest of them are looking purty good......
although I think the plants are capable
